Work Related Skills

Award:                             QQI Level 3 Employability Skills (3M0935)

Duration:                         Four days per week. Academic year

Places Available:            10

Modules included:         Word Processing, Desk Top Publishing, Mathematics, Digital Media,                                                     Personal Effectiveness, and Career Preparation (Subject to change).

Course requirements:   It is recommended that participants have a basic understanding of                                                     computes.

 

Introduction to Hairdressing

Award:                              QQI Level 3 Modules (3M0935)

Duration:                          Monday 10.00am – 2.30pm (Sept. – Dec. 2017), with new intake in                                                       January for new term,  January – May 2018

Places Available:             15

Modules included:          Hairdressing –  Hair Basin Skills, & Blow Drying Hair Skills,                                                                      (Subject to change).

Course requirements:    It is recommended that participants have completed a Level 3
award or have some experience working with computers.

 

General Learning

Award:                              QQI Level 4 Modules (4M2010)

Duration:                          Two days per week. Academic year.

Places Available:             15

Modules included:          Design, Communications, and Computer Applications                                                                            (Subject to change).

Course requirements:    It is recommended that participants have completed a Level 3
award or have some experience working with computers.

Early Childhood Care and Education

Award:                                 QQI Level 6 Early Childhood Care and Education (6M2007)

Duration: 8 hours.             10 hours. Three afternoons per week. Academic year.

Places Available:                10

Modules included:             Child Psychology,                                                                                                                                             Early Childhood Curriculum,                                                                                                                         Communications,                                                                                                                                             Child Development                                                                                                                                         Special Needs Assisting                                                                                                                                   (Subject to change)

Course requirements:      It is recommended that participants must have achieved                                                                      a Level 5 QQI (FETAC) Childcare Qualification.                                                                                            Garda vetting will be required.

 

 

Health Care Support

Award:                                 QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support (5M4339)

Duration: 8 hours.             Academic year, 2 evenings per week, Monday and Wednesday,                                                             6.00pm – 9.00pm

Places Available:                10

Modules included:              Communications                                                                                                                                              Safety and Health at Work                                                                                                                              Care Skills                                                                                                                                                          Care Of the Older Person                                                                                                                                (Subject to change)

Course requirements:        Garda vetting will be required.
